As an educational consultant with over 20 years of experience in science research and education, curriculum development, and teaching, I have had the privilege of working with students and families from all backgrounds, including those with neurodiverse learning needs, international families, and anyone navigating the complexities of the U.S. educational system. My goal is to provide personalized guidance and support to help each student reach their full academic potential, regardless of their starting point.
My journey has been shaped by a blend of academic achievements and personal experiences, which I believe make me uniquely equipped to provide exceptional educational consulting.
I earned my Master’s in Molecular Biology from the prestigious Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where I was honored as one of two students to receive a national science award. This launched my scientific career, taking me to Antarctica for groundbreaking research and later to the U.S., where I completed my PhD at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. My passion for cognitive science led me to work as a research consultant at the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function.
My transition into education came after earning a Master’s in Education, and I’ve since become an advocate for inclusive learning environments. I’ve had the privilege of working in top private schools, including as a learning specialist at Easton Country Day School, where I focus on supporting twice-exceptional and gifted learners.
As a Brazilian who navigated the American educational system myself, I deeply understand the challenges faced by international families. I’ve successfully guided my two sons through prestigious private schools and into Ivy League universities. I’ve also supported my daughter, a twice-exceptional learner, in finding the right academic and support services, allowing her to thrive in advanced classes.
In my consulting practice, I offer comprehensive support for neurodiverse students, using research-based strategies to ensure they reach their academic potential. I also assist international and local families with school and college placement, helping them navigate U.S. institutions with confidence. My combined expertise in science education and my personal journey as both a parent and educator allow me to provide practical, empathetic guidance to the families I work with.
